The family tradition started in the 20th century with Attilio Biagiotti who owned a leather workshop behind Piazza Pitti. His son Gino learned from his father all the secrets of artisan workmanship in the best Florentine tradition.
In 1950 Gino, together with his son Mario, revived Attilio’s business. They opened the Bottega Giotti store in the Lenzi Palace located in one of the most beautiful squares in the center of Florence near the Arno River. It’s been almost 65 years and Bottega Giotti is still headquartered where it began. The company is run by Mario Biagotti along with his son Paolo and his daughters Alessandra, designer of the leather collection, and Caterina, creator of the accessories.
