Lebenese designer Johnny Farah brings a true international sensibility to his work in handbags, belts, and small leather goods. He quotes early and formative influences in Scandinavian design and architecture from his student days in Copenhagen, and his later years spent in New York and Turkey have left a mark on his sensibility. And finally, the Japanese notion of wabi sabi – a philosophy and aesthetic that is centered on the notion that beauty is imperfect, impermanent and incomplete has influenced Farah’s work. All of his work is handmade in Lebanon from the most luxurious vegetable tanned leathers and his custom made hardware is all created in his own forge.
