Sophie Digard

Sophie Digard is best know for her range of crocheted fine wool and fine linen scarves, but her collections also include necklaces, bags, embroidered stoles, brooches, children’s toys and accessories, and bags. A distinguishing feature unifying these products is the incredible intricacy and workmanship evident in each piece. Indeed, the skill set and delicacy necessary to produce work of this finesse is quite extraordinary… How does she achieve this? Her specially coloured wool and linen threads are shipped to Madagascar where she works with local women to crochet and embroider the pieces by hand. By honing these women’s traditional handiwork skills and providing stable employment, her workshops provide a valuable source of income and stability to local communities and help promote and preserve their textile heritage.

Desert Son of Santa Fe carries Sophie Digard. Contact our shop for inquiries on our current inventory.
